Contemporary bell dome glass coffe table

Inspired by the Ravello collection from Danish design house House Nordic, this coffee table pairs two of the most satisfying forms in the contemporary minimalist vocabulary the dome and the disc into a composition of complete formal resolution. A generously proportioned oval smoked glass top cantilevers with quiet drama beyond the edges of a high-gloss lacquered bell dome base, its thin dark plane hovering above the rounded form with a studied lightness that makes the table read differently from every angle and in every quality of light. The dome base, smooth and bulbous with the glazed depth of a ceramic vessel, provides a grounding organic counterpoint to the cool precision of the smoked glass above, the two materials in a dialogue of warmth and restraint that defines the best of Scandinavian contemporary design. Available in three considered colourways each with its own proportions, warm caramel at 45 × 41 cm, sage patina at 35 × 50 cm and muted beige at 80 × 31 cm, the pieces are as compelling individually as they are displayed as a trio in a natural stepped composition.
