Born from the optimism and wonder of the late 1950s space age, this Sputnik chandelier takes its name and its essential spirit from the Soviet satellite that ignited humanity's race toward the stars. The design emerged from a cultural moment when the cosmos suddenly felt reachable, and interior design responded in kind: architects and designers began reaching upward, outward, and in all directions at once. This Italian interpretation realises that impulse with absolute conviction. Eighteen individual light sources radiate from a central brass sphere along solid brass arms, each terminating in a hand-finished amber-toned crystal spike that catches the light and refracts it into warm faceted brilliance across the surrounding space. The entire structure is crafted in solid brass and finished with a gold-copper electroplating that deepens the warmth of the amber crystals and gives the fixture a jewel-like quality at every hour of the day, luminous at night, sculptural by morning light. A lamp that does not merely illuminate a room but transforms it.
