Description

In 1954 Arne Jacobsen designed the Dot stool for Fritz Hansen as a companion to his legendary Ant chair, reducing the seat to its most elemental proposition: a gently domed cushion, a tubular chrome frame, and nothing else. This stackable stool honours that same discipline with complete conviction. Its polished chrome tubular frame curves inward at the crown with a characteristically Jacobsen elegance, cradling a softly domed upholstered seat in a rounded square profile that is as comfortable as it is visually resolved. The stackable construction, a detail of pragmatic Bauhaus intelligence, allows up to six stools to nest into a single compact tower, making it as suited to a studio or workspace as to a kitchen counter, a dressing room or a dining table that occasionally needs extra seating without notice. Available in seven considered colourways spanning tan leather, signal red, pure white, sage green, cobalt blue, matte black and mustard yellow, each stool carries the same structural integrity while offering an entirely different chromatic contribution to the room.
