Art nouveau organic natural stone pedestal side table

Inspired by the Tavero Side Table from Uniiqo Studio, this marble side table treats natural stone not as a material to be tamed and polished into submission but as a geological protagonist in its own right. Its base is a rough-hewn monolith of verde green marble, its irregular faceted surfaces retaining the raw drama of the quarry deep swirling veins of forest green, slate and white moving through the stone like a landscape seen from altitude, each face catching light differently as the day progresses. Above this, a wafer-thin travertine top is inlaid with circular green marble medallions scattered in an organic, unhurried arrangement, each disc a window into a different cross-section of the stone's interior life. The dialogue between the raw sculptural base and the refined inlaid top surface is the entire design argument, and it is one of extraordinary material intelligence. Available in verde green, warm salmon, deep chocolate brown and pale beige, each colourway draws from a different chapter of the earth's geological palette while maintaining the same formal conviction. A table that took millions of years to become possible and will last a lifetime.
